NYCRendering is a photo of your favorite city in the world transformed into a new image. The photo of NYC is used as a medium to paint a new image - an image referring to outer space - NYC outer space. 

The new digital abstraction questions the digital realm as an irrepressible force, comparable to psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan’s ‘Lamella’ - an autonomous, shape-shifting matter of the libido. Lacan’s immortal ‘Lamella’ becomes a metaphor for the Internet and its generative process of new information.
