HighBristleCount is part of a series of works, which investigate the impact of digital technology on the making and sharing of images. Based on an image transformed into digital abstractions, the work seeks to question the digital realm as an irrepressible force, comparable to psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan’s ‘Lamella’ - an autonomous, shape-shifting matter of the libido. Lacan’s immortal ‘Lamella’ becomes a metaphor for the Internet and its generative process of new information.
