PaintedbyHand consists of hand painted intuitive marks alluding to the intuitive mark-making of abstract expressionist painting. Abstract expressionist artists found new ways to express freedom and experiment with new materials and processes just like contemporary art finds new ways to experiment with digital materials and processes. PaintedbyHand is an analogue intuitive piece that could be seen as a metaphor for the Paleolithic cave paintings. Some theories claim that cave paintings may have been a way of communicating with others. In this sense the intuitive mark-making resonates the digital communication of today.
